Good places
Chosen for the hour. They change every couple of hours.
Worth knowing
What a phone is good at
Calls. Messages. Maps when you’re lost. A camera, a torch, tickets, music on a walk.
Those are worth carrying. Most of the rest of the internet is better at a desk — somewhere you sit down with it, and then stand up and leave.
So if you’d like to try something: take the apps that shout off this screen, and leave this here instead. Nothing bad happens if you put them back.
Put it where an app was
iPhone. Share, then Add to Home Screen.
Android. The menu, then Add to Home screen.
It opens on its own after that, without a browser around it.
Where the wisp actually lives
Glimmerwood is a browser for Linux with the wisp in it. It watches how your time online is going — restoring, ordinary, wearing — and shows it by how it looks, without ever saying a word about it. The garden at the top of this page is the one it keeps for you.
From GitHub: a Flatpak bundle, x86_64. Not on a Linux machine? The good places above work in any browser, on any machine.
